Overview

Overview
Obesity is a major cause of diabetes, and weight control is very important to control diabetes. In this session, we will look at various approaches that can be used to manage obesity in diabetics. First, we would like to look at the use of motivational interviewing techniques to change eating habits of obese diabetics, drug therapy used for obesity management, and diet and nursing care before and after bariatric surgery. Through this session, you will be get a useful information that can be used to manage obesity in diabetics.

Current status of MNT in Korean diabetes patients On-Air Channel B

Overview
This session focuses on the current status of MNT in Korea. First, there will be a review on nutritional patterns of Koreans and analyzes recent dietary survey data. Second, a recent study on food and nutrition intake according to diabetes awareness will be introduced. Finally, an assessment and discussion on current sodium intake recommendations in Korean diabetes patients will be presented. We hope that this session will be helpful in revising the MNT guidelines for diabetic patients in Korea in the future.
